1. Mallorca is one of Spain’s 5 Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean. Known for its beach resorts and sheltered coves, limestone mountains and Moorish remains, Palma is the islands capital city. Andratx is a glamourous area in the South West of the island with a port, restaurants and nightlife.

La Gourmeda Restaurant in Puerto de Andratx offers fine dining with an international twist. In addition there are many cafes and beach restaurants offering relaxed alfresco dining around the island. Cappucino is a very popular café in both Palma and Andratx.

Following this, Mallorca hosts an International Book Fair, the Deia International Music Festival, the Inca Jazz Festival and the ‘Copa del Rey’, one of the world’s most important sailing regattas which takes place each year in the Bay of Palma. Local food festivals, music events and celebrations of traditional Mallorcan customs such as the ‘Festa de la Estandard’ are widely celebrated and embraced.
